CAI - Orange County Symposium & Expo 6/30/2016

On June 30th, 2016, the Orange County chapter of CAI hosted a symposium & expo from 2:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the Irvine Marriott. As part of this event, there were multiple panels talking about a variety of topics. We submitted a proposal to be one of the panels, and they selected us!

Prioritizing Maintenance & Repairs On A Limited Budget

Whether you have a limited budget or not, you should always make decisions about property maintenance, improvements and repairs with two ideas in mind: (1.) Lifetime costs and (2.) costs versus benefits. If you perform work (spend maintenance dollars) too early, you will be spending more money over time. But if you spend too late (deferred maintenance), then damage can cause costs to escalate. We will discuss a framework for making smart long-term, cost-benefit decisions about building and property maintenance, repairs and improvements. Pete has given various programs on this and closely related subjects on numerous occasions as webinars and seminars, including for CAI Portland and CAI National (in San Diego).

The event was a major success! And if you ever want to have this program sent to you, let us know!
